Tui Blue Angkor Grace will be situated in Cambodia’s second city Siem Reap, near Tonle Sap lake, and feature distinct wellness focus. It follows the launch of Tui Blue Sihanoukville in April.
Tui has rapidly expanded its footprint in Asia over the past year with the addition of seven new hotels across China, Thailand, Cambodia and Indonesia.
The addition of Tui Blue Angkor Grace grows the group’s Asian portfolio to 25 hotels across eight countries, with this expansion seemingly poised to continue apace.
"In the coming months, Tui will continue its strategic expansion across Asia, with plans to grow in sought-after holiday destinations such as Vietnam and Malaysia," it said.
Tui late last year vowed to more than double the number of hotels it offers in Asia over the next three years, including nine in China. It brought Tui Blue to China and Malaysia last year.
Artur Gerber, chief executive of Tui Hotels and Resorts, said Tui would continue to support the expansion of Cambodia’s leisure hotel industry "and bring more international attention to Tui Blue Angkor Wat".
Gerber described the 151-room hotel as "a real gem for wellness seekers" complete with a hydrotherapy experience featuring a magnesium-rich pool, as well as onsen and ice baths and traditional healing practices. It also has a kids wellness centre for youngsters aged six months to 12.
Other highlights include a gym with standard equipment and coach-led activities, a yoga studio and "sound healing temple" offering sound therapy sessions.
