It comes as Los Angeles Tourism, the destination marketing and sales organisation for LA, reported $34.5bn (£28bn) in total business sales in 2022, reaching 91% of 2019’s record-setting levels with 46.2 million visitors.
The city saw 300,000 visitors from the UK and Ireland last year, making it the third largest international market behind only Mexico and Canada.
In 2022, international visitation increased by nearly two million visitors, representing an 81.7% year-on-year increase from 2021.
In 2023, Los Angeles’ top five international source markets are expected to be Mexico (1,790,000), Canada (740,000), China (460,000), Australia/New Zealand (390,000), and UK/Ireland (330,000).
"As one of the world’s most diverse and inclusive communities – and one of the primary gateways to the United States – we pride ourselves on being a destination where everyone is welcome," said Los Angeles Tourism president and chief executive Adam Burke.
"And starting with the $15bn (£12bn) modernisation of Los Angeles International Airport, we’ve seen incredible investment in the market, offering IPW attendees the opportunity to experience our destination like never before."
