The UK carrier announced on Friday (31 March) that the partnership has added 18 destinations, taking its Indian portfolio to a total of 34.
Under the codeshare, customers will only have to buy one ticket to connect to some of India’s most popular destinations such as Varanasi and Goa.
Travellers will have even more access to the beach destination as the partnership extends to Goa’s second airport, Goa Mopa.
“This offers our customers even more choice when travelling to India,” said Virgin Atlantic country manager for South Asia Alex McEwan. “By combining IndiGo’s vast network with Virgin Atlantic’s three daily services between the UK and India, we offer a range of connections to and from India’s most popular destinations.”
