Heathrow is set to gain an extra weekly Delhi service next month.
Indian carrier Vistara is upping the frequency on its Heathrow-Delhi route. From 2 April, the airline will put on a Saturday departure, increasing its schedule to six flights a week.
Services will operate every day except Thursdays. Vistara flights depart Heathrow at 10.05pm, arriving Delhi at 10.40am (+1). Returns depart Delhi at 2pm, arriving Heathrow at 6.55pm.
It comes after India’s Civil Aviation Ministry last week confirmed the country would end its almost two-year band on scheduled international flights on 27 March.
Vistara was launched in early 2015 as a joint venture India’s Tata group and Singapore Airlines. It currently serves around 30 Indian cities, and deploys a small fleet of Dreamliners on international long-haul routes.
