Last year, the burial site for some 240 people was discovered beneath the former location of Ocky White Travel in Haverfordwest – just 20 yards away from its current high street store.
The agency has now been thrust into the spotlight again with the launch of the BBC’s Digging for Britain documentary, with one episode delving into the what the show described as "one of the most important medieval discoveries in all of west Wales".
The burial site was found by the Dyfed Archaeological Trust beneath the former department store, which is undergoing a multimillion-pound redevelopment.
It is thought to have been a part of Saint Saviour’s Priory, founded by the Dominican Friars in 1246.
Speaking to TTG last October, Ocky White Travel managing director Mark White said: "It’s incredible what’s going on, and the interest has been massive – the site is practically on our doorstep.
"They discovered the first few bodies back in the summer, which initially halted the development. But it was in the past week or so they discovered the full extent of it."
