The event will take place on 3 July at the Pitcher & Piano Cornhill in London’s Bank, with tickets starting from £19.99pp. All the proceeds from the night, which will also feature a raffle, will go towards the Marie Curie cancer care charity.
Megan Bowbrick, a member of this year’s 30U30 charity committee, said the cohort chose Marie Curie as its charity partner in support of Virgin Voyages business development manager Layla Davies, whose mum passed away in October follow what she described as "a long and courageous battle with cancer".
"The Marie Curie nurses provided amazing support during her end-of-life care at home,” said Davies. "They also continue to support me and my family, helping us through an incredibly difficult time."
Bowbrick said the group, which has been raising money for the cause over the past year, was hopeful the event would push their efforts up to the £10,000 mark.
On the night, guests will be greeted with a welcome drink and canapes before participating in an "epic” pub quiz and raffle. Bowbrick said the quiz would be run by the charity committee, and could cover a variety of topics.
"Some of them will be travel-related, some will focus more on general knowledge, while others will be more interactive,” she explained.
There will also be a photobooth available throughout the night, and guests will also hear more about the work Marie Curie does.
Bowbrick said the committee was hoping to welcome 150 people, 20 of whom will be from the 2024/25 cohort. The rest will be former 30 Under 30 members and travel professionals from all corners of the industry.
"We’ll probably invite the speakers from the different 30 Under 30 events we’ve had this year,” she added. “But we’ll be promoting the event on LinkedIn and other social media because it will be open to anyone in the industry."
Tickets are available online now. The event will start at 7pm and wrap up at 11pm.
