Bordessa Holidays is preparing for its busiest-ever year after its bosses secured a new shop, decided to buy a larger head office – and got engaged at Disneyland Paris on New Year’s Day.

Just 30 minutes into 2026, Chris Bordessa got down on one knee to ask his partner of 12 years Mair Jones to marry him while they were at the theme park with a coach load of Bordessa Holidays customers.

In that moment, Jones knew 2026 was going to be a year like no other. “I figured it would be busy after Chris proposed to me,” she told TTG.

Ahead of peaks, Bordessa and Jones had already identified new high street premises in Carmarthen and started to explore opening a third shop in Tenby, around 40 minutes away.
