The shop, which continued to carry Carrick Travel's branding, was one of seven Carrick branches acquired by Midcounties in 2020. It ceased trading on 30 October after Midcounties decided it was "no longer fitting with the long-term strategy of the society".
Three staff who worked at the Kenilworth shop have been offered alternative roles within the business, while existing bookings have been transferred to the Leamington Spa branch. A Your Co-op Travel spokesperson said the move would "ensure continuity of service for our members and customers".
The spokesperson added: "The Midcounties Co-operative board regularly reviews our property footprint to ensure we’re providing the best opportunity to deliver for our members and customers while supporting local communities across the regions where Your Co-op Travel branches are present.
"We’d like to extend a huge thank you to the team at Kenilworth for their hard work and understanding during this time of transition."
Midcounties Co-operative five years ago finalised a deal to take on seven Carrick Travel branches, including Kenilworth, and add them to its retail division.
The other six were Stratford-upon-Avon and Leamington Spa, also in Warwickshire; Cheylesmore in the West Midlands; Pershore in Worcestershire; Grantham in Lincolnshire; and Newark in Nottinghamshire.
Four other Carrick Travel branches closed their doors at the end of September 2020 shortly before the deal was confirmed.
