This year’s TTG Sustainable Travel Heroes fam trips took the 2025 TTG Sustainable Travel Ambassadors to France, Switzerland, Crete and Mexico across three separate departures with easyJet holidays, the Greek National Tourism Organisation, Iberostar Hotels & Resorts and Intrepid Travel.
Intrepid, the programme's small group adventure partner, took a group of Ambassadors to Paris, Lausanne and Lucerne on the operator’s first-ever no-fly fam trip.
easyJet Holidays (TTG’s tour operator partner) and the Greek National Tourism Organisation (TTG’s destination partner) arranged to take Ambassadors on a bespoke fam trip to Crete, where they learned how to sell the island's community-led experiences, culture and cuisine.
TTG’s accommodation partner Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, meanwhile, led a small group of Ambassadors to Mexico to gain first-hand experience of the group’s Paraiso resorts and positive-impact experiences with the Planeterra Foundation.
All the fam trips had a responsible tourism focus, with the goal of educating attendees about better ways to travel.
All 20 travel agents enrolled in the educational programme have now graduated to become fully fledged TTG Sustainable Travel Ambassadors.
The TTG Sustainable Travel Heroes programme will return in 2026, with applications for the next 20 TTG Sustainable Travel Ambassadors in Training opening in February. Agents both new to travel or with years of experience will be encouraged to apply.
