Howlett has held several sales positions including UK head of sales, UK sales manager and partnerships manager since joining the brand in 2022.
With Howlett leaving at the end of April, Hurtigruten is now busy identifying candidates to fill Howlett's UK and EMEA sales director role.
On LinkedIn, Howlett posted: "As I prepare to move on to my next chapter in a few months' time, I wanted to share just how strong this role is at Hurtigruten.
"This is a genuinely exciting position, working with an experienced, passionate and highly collaborative team, with real scope to make an impact.
"The foundations are solid, the results are strong, and there’s a clear opportunity for the right person to build on the momentum we’ve created and take things even further."
He said it had been "privilege" to help shape the UK and EMEA sales director role, adding: "I will ultimately leave knowing it’s in a great place for someone ambitious, commercial and people-focused to step in and succeed."
Hurtigruten's chief commercial officer Iain Powell added: "A fantastic opportunity to join our UK based team, taking responsibility for the sales performance of the UK and our Emerging Markets.
"With the current performance of this fantastic team, and the amazing January we're about to close on, I suspect there will be plenty of interest."
In January, Princess Cruises' former UK and Europe sales director Hayley Moore joined Hurtigruten as its new vice-president of sales and marketing, UK and emerging markets.
