Star Princess was officially delivered to the line at a handover ceremony at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy, on Friday (26 September).
Princess Cruises president Gus Antorcha was among the guests at the ceremony ahead of the 4,300-passenger ship's maiden 11-night voyage from Barcelona on 4 October.
The line has revealed 20 "frontline" agents will join Star Princess on its second sailing – a seven-day round-trip Mediterranean voyage featuring calls to Gibraltar, UK; Malaga and Cartagena, both Spain.
The ship will reposition to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, following the cruise and start a season of Caribbean cruises on 7 November.
Once its Caribbean season concludes in April 2026, Star Princess will sail through the Panama Canal and head west to begin its Alaska season.
Any agent who makes a Star Princess booking before 1 October 2025 will be entered into a draw to win a prize.
The winning agent can choose between sailing on Star Princess in the Caribbean on a seven-night cruise in an all-inclusive Sanctuary Collection balcony stateroom, or a seven-night Alaska cruise on the same ship in a balcony stateroom combined with a stay in one of Princess's Wilderness Lodges in Alaska.
The prize will include premium economy flights for both the winning agent and their plus one.
Star Princess features 30 dining and bar venues, luxury space The Sanctuary Collection and adults-only pool deck the Sanctuary Club as well entertainment venue The Dome and theatre The Piazza.
Speaking at the delivery ceremony, Antorcha said: "Today is a proud moment for Princess as we welcome the new Star Princess to our incredible fleet.
“This remarkable vessel is a testament to the innovation and craftsmanship of our long-standing partners at Fincantieri, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to the shipbuilding team for bringing our newest ship to life.”
