Air Canada has announced a new three-times-weekly Edinburgh-Montreal service, taking off on 27 June.
Flights will operate from Montreal on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, arriving into Edinburgh the following morning.
Returns will depart Edinburgh on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday mornings, with a flight time of just over seven hours.
Air Canada will operate the route using its Boeing 737 Max 8 fleet; flights will feature 16 premium economy seats and 153 standard economy.
In total, Air Canada will offer 75 weekly flights this summer between the Scottish capital and Canada’s second-largest city during the period to 7 September.
It said the new route would complement its existing daily Edinburgh-Toronto service.
Margaret Skinner, Air Canada senior director sales EMEAI, said: "Edinburgh has always been an important market for Air Canada thanks to strong business, tourism and cultural ties between Scotland and Canada, so we are proud to be expanding our presence in the market by adding a second route for 2025."
Gordon Dewar, Edinburgh airport chief executive, added: "We see continued demand for direct links between Canada and Scotland, and that demand is both inbound and outbound, demonstrating the attractiveness of Edinburgh and Scotland to an international audience as well as the excitement people here have for a country we have strong bonds with.
"This addition is also a big vote of confidence from Air Canada in Edinburgh’s market, and we look forward to welcoming this new route later this summer."
