EasyJet boss Johan Lundgren highlighted the tour operator’s “profitable contribution” during the financial year ending on 30 September.
Lundgren made the comment as Luton-based easyJet announced an expected full-year loss of between £170 million and £190 million in a trading update.
“Our step change in ancillary revenue has continued to deliver, alongside easyJet holidays making a profitable contribution in its first full year of operations,” said Lundgren.
EasyJet holidays is planning further major expansion after adding “thousands” of extra package holidays to its summer 2023 programme as it targets 30% customer growth next year.
