EFR Travel Group, which was founded by the chief executive, Edward Rom 16 years ago, is based in Hertfordshire. It is a group focussed on corporate, leisure and golf travel.

It is a member of the Advantage Focus Partnership, the Guild of Travel Management Companies and the WIN Global Partnership, with affiliates in more than 40 countries. In addition, it is a founder member of Virtuoso, EMEA.

The managing director of CSR, Gary Shaw, will remain with the business and continue to play an integral role in the further development of the company.

Rom said: “We are delighted to acquire CSR Travel, which is a highly respected travel company in the north of England. We see great opportunities for further growth and synergies and we are very pleased that Gary Shaw will continue as managing director to lead the team.
