Chief executive Jennifer Atkinson also revealed the business has received 250 CVs and hired more than five staff off the back of its featuring in the TV documentary The Millionaires’ Holiday Club.
It was announced today that NorthEdge Capital has taken a majority stake in ITC Luxury Travel Group, with the “significant” remainder owned by Atkinson, who bought the Chester-based firm in 2014 with Paul Pindar.
Pindar has now sold his stake.
Speaking exclusively to TTG yesterday, Atkinson said the trade remains as important as ever to the business.
“We have always been committed to the trade,” she said.
“When we acquired Western & Oriental last year we increased the on-the-road sales team to four - travel agents will always be massively important to us.
“What agents want is an operator that gives them the best price, service and relationship, and really looks after their clients.
“The investment will help us to continue to deliver on that.”
