The firm primarily markets its properties through holidaycoattages.co.uk, supported by more than 30 additional regional and lifestyle brands.
Travel Chapter said despite 2020 Covid-19 restrictions lowering the value of the UK’s self-catering market by around 45%, it was expecting a rebound in 2021 with a 54% increase in market value. The firm expects to grow by around 6% to 7% a year in the period to 2025.
Travel Chapter claims to have grown market share in recent years organically and through acquisitions, taking on and integrating 25 agencies since 2016. Its directors believe there is "substantial headroom" for further growth. It has also seen its customer database grow from around 735,000 in May 2019 to 1.1 million in August 2021.
It said the key aspects of its growth strategy include investment in its organic portfolio, a heightened focus on quality in regards to its property portfolio, and maintenance and enhancement of its KPIs.
Jayne McClure, chief executive of Travel Chapter, said: "We are delighted to announce our intention to IPO on AIM. This marks the exciting next stage of the Travel Chapter journey as a leading online platform for UK holiday rentals."
She said the firm has witnessed "long term and robust structural tailwinds in domestic tourism in the UK" and believes that these will continue.
