The charity will launch the Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action in Tourism after receiving support from “hundreds” of travel brands.
The Declaration is a commitment to halve tourism’s emissions by 2030 and to report progress each year.
The Foundation has partnered with Tourism Declares a Climate Emergency, which will become its flagship climate programme.
The Foundation said: “Both announcements place the Travel Foundation, a leading tourism NGO, at the forefront of efforts to ensure tourism businesses and destinations can rapidly decarbonise, adapt to climate change and support ecosystem regeneration.”
