WTM London: Morocco bouncing back with new luxury hotels and airlift

Morocco is to gain a raft of new luxury hotels and additional airlift, as the destination reports strong recovery from the Covid-crisis.

InterContinental is to open its first hotel in the country in Spring 2022 in Rabat, while Club Med is to open an eco-resort in Essaouira in 2024.

Fairmont Hotels and Resorts launches one property later this year and another in 2022, and Radisson has announced seven new properties in the country.

Morocco’s UK market is also set to get a boost from extra airlift this winter, namely Ryanair from Edinburgh to Marrakech, and easyJet from Glasgow and Luton to Agadir.
