The Travel Village Group is inviting specialist cruise agents to join its network under a “Leads Toolkit” model.
Chief executive Phil Nuttall said he wanted to "offer some hope" to any cruise specialists made redundant and who wished to operate under any Travel Village cruise brand – Cruise Village, Southampton Cruise Centre and RiverCruising.co.uk brands.
"If you have your own database of cruisers, or have an appetite for a challenge to go out and find cruise clients, then our open door policy and history of customer care will give you a solid foundation to build on,” he said.
Sales and commercial manager Richard Cross, formerly of Cunard, will oversee the homeworking division.
Agents will initially receive 25% of the commission on a sale, with the remaining 40% paid six to eight weeks prior to travel.
Nuttall said the time was right for cruise agents to turn to Travel Village.
"Many cruisers have been frustrated over the last five months with the lack of contact and care provided, compounded by their inability to speak to someone about their cruise," he said.
"Our business has a track record of looking after people – my wife Paula continues to expand the Holiday Village with some incredibly talented travel experts; so there is no reason why we cannot build a network of incredibly talented and passionate cruise experts."
Nuttall added the group was on the look out for both ocean and river cruise experts, with the group "keen to explore unique opportunities" in the river sector.
