ITA Airways will launch a new triple-daily London-Milan service next month.
The Italian carrier will operate 18 flights a week between London City and Milan Linate. This includes three daily services Monday to Friday, on on Saturday and two on Sundays.
Flights will get under way on 28 March. London City said the route would "kickstart" a summer turnaround after months of suppressed travel.
"London City airport today welcomes the return of flights to Milan Linate, as the city-centre hub seizes on pent-up consumer demand to revitalise its short-haul connections following the lifting of international travel restrictions."
The airport said the route would "cement tourist and business links’ between the two cities. At the route’s peak in 2018, some 360,000 passengers were using it annually.
"The reopening of one of London City’s most popular routes is the latest show of confidence in the resilience of its key leisure and business network," the airport added.
Flights will depart Milan at 7am, 12.20pm and 5.40pm, with returns departing London City at 8.25am, 1.45pm and 7.05pm.
