According to new data, 41% of people are more likely to opt for a package holiday rather than booking each element individually (32%).
Nearly two thirds (63%) of those who prefer package holidays said the easier booking process is what draws them to the option, while 56% like the fact their trip will be financially protected.
More than half (55%) are attracted to the idea everything will be taken care of for them and 45% will choose package holidays because it’s more cost effective.
Al Murray, chief marketing officer for Loveholidays, which carried out the research, said: "Package holidays allow people to relax in the knowledge that everything has been organised for them, so it’s little surprise they are proving so popular.
"People want a booking process that is smooth and simple, and by booking everything at once, they can rest assured knowing they won’t face any expensive surprises when the time for their holiday arrives."
The online agency’s poll of 2,000 UK adults also found 38% are keen to go on a bucket list holiday this summer, with the average Brit planning at least two getaways this year.
Those aged 18–24 are most set on embarking on a once-in-a-lifetime getaway, with three quarters planning to take a bucket list holiday (76%), compared to 21% of over 65s.
