Red Carnation Hotels is delighted to launch The Guinness Legacy Experience at the five-star Ashford Castle. Set on the shores of Lough Corrib, Ashford Castle seamlessly combines centuries of history with timeless luxury, and the 800-year-old castle and 350-acre estate now offers a new way for guests to discover its rich heritage as the former home of the Guinness family.
The immersive experience celebrates the story of the family whose vision and stewardship helped shape Ashford Castle into one of Ireland's most iconic destinations. Guests are invited to explore the remarkable history of the Guinness family, who owned the estate from 1852 to 1939, and discover the lasting influence they had on both the castle and Irish heritage.
Led by esteemed historian Dr Kevin Egan, the experience brings the Guinness era to life through a full day tour that includes captivating stories, historic photographs and personal anecdotes that reveal the family's deep connection to Ashford Castle and their role in its evolution.
Along the way, guests can enjoy some of the estate's most celebrated experiences, including Lord and Lady Ardilaun's Afternoon Tea in the Connaught Room with Charles Plunket MBE DL, great-great-nephew of Lord Ardilaun, as well as a perfectly poured pint of Guinness and fine wine in the Prince of Wales Bar to conclude the day.
Part of Ashford Castle's collection of exceptional Irish experiences, The Guinness Legacy Experience offers a unique opportunity to step back in time and explore the people, stories and traditions that continue to shape one of Ireland's most treasured estates.
The Guinness Legacy Experience is a full day tour starting from 2,300 Euro for a minimum of two guests.
