Applications are now open for the programme, which last year saw a total of 365 apprentices begin their careers at Hays Travel's head office in Sunderland, as well as retail branches across the UK.
Travel House was acquired by Hays Travel in 2023, followed by Miles Morgan in 2024 and Spear Travels last June. The three brands operate a total of 48 shops across England and Wales, with Miles Morgan the largest acquisition at 20 branches.
"Travel offers a rewarding career, and our apprenticeship scheme allows people from across the UK to take their first step into the industry," said Rachael Allen, head of apprenticeships at Hays Travel.
Training is provided in-house, with head office apprentices working towards a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Qualification and retail obtaining a Level 3 Travel Consultant Apprenticeship on graduating.
Chief operating officer Jonathan Woodall-Johnson added: "Having started my own career as an apprentice, I know how valuable this scheme is. Hays Travel is proud of its family values, so applicants can have every confidence they will be fully supported throughout their journey."
Apprentice Ella Graham praised the "many opportunities" provided by Hays Travel. "I've built key skills like problem-solving, and teamwork, but one that really stands out is public speaking," she said. "I am extremely proud of how far I have come and I would love to be able to show others what is possible through an apprenticeship."
The minimum requirements to apply for a role are Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4 or above, or Scottish NAT 4 or above (or equivalent).
