HR in Travel – Engage will be an opportunity for travel's HR professionals to network, share their insights and seek solutions to common issues. Taking place in London on 26 February, HR in Travel said the event would meet demand for sector-specific support for HR leaders.
"From workforce changes to digital transformation and rising employee expectations, HR teams in travel are being asked to do more than ever, often without a dedicated space to connect with peers who truly understand their world," said HR in Travel.
The event will encourage HR professionals to learn from each other, build meaningful relationships and access practical solutions tailored to the travel industry.
It will also feature sessions on personal development, foster collaborative discussion, promote problem solving and open up a network of peers with a view to providing practical takeaways that can be applied immediately, and also give attendees fresh energy and inspiration to take back to their teams.
Following feedback from the HR in Travel network, the event will be built around three core themes – culture and engagement, AI and technology, and personal development.
A host of industry leaders from across HR, talent and travel, with experience spanning people strategy, technology and AI, culture, learning and leadership, will be on-hand to deliver their perspectives.
They include: Amanda Killick, UK head of HR and talent, ATPI Group; Amy Peers, people director, Ice Travel Group; Dr Amanda Potter, founder and chief executive, Be Talent; Claire Steiner, UK director, Global Travel and Tourism Partnership; Victoria Wilson, chief people officer, Travel Counsellors; Nicola Boston, culture and experience lead, Holiday Extras; Emily Edwards, career coach and commercial trainer; Katie Nightingale, director, Grant Thornton; Christina Ellerton, people and culture manager, AC Group; and Jo Harley, co-founder, Korero/Henrick & Hyde.
'Positive force'
Gail Kenny, founder of HR in Travel and Best Workplaces in Travel, said: "One of the biggest learnings from running Best Workplaces in Travel and launching HR in Travel has been the sheer power of community. When people come together to share ideas, celebrate success and support one another, the whole industry moves forward.
"We’ve built an environment that brings HR professionals together through events, networking and shared insight; and the response has been incredible. Hosting HR in Travel – Engage takes things to a new level, giving HR leaders a vibrant space to connect, learn and feel part of something bigger.
"The travel industry is full of brilliant people and Engage brings them together as a positive force in an event built specifically for them."
HR in Travel – Engage will be held on Thursday 26 February at Grant Thornton's offices in London from 9am, and is open to HR professionals working in travel. Tickets are available now.
