In 2026, the 1,899-stateroom ship will operate a range of two- to nine-night voyages from Southampton following its refurbishment. The line’s current UK ship – Independence of the Seas – will only sail from Southampton for this summer before being repositioned to Miami, US.
A new pool deck featuring The Lime & Coconut venue and new “casitas” will be added to Liberty of the Seas as well as an escape room.
In addition, passengers will also be able to eat Japanese dishes at Izumi Teppanyaki and order hot and cold drinks from Starbucks.
After the summer season, Liberty will head to Galveston, Texas, for the winter and visit Royal Beach Club in Cozumel, Mexico.
Liberty of the Seas entered service in 2007 and was last refurbished in 2016.
Ovation of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas will also be revamped as part of the line’s Royal Amplified programme. Allure of the Seas was the last ship to be overhauled earlier this year.
Jay Schneider, Royal Caribbean’s chief product innovation officer, said: "After seeing incredible success and guest satisfaction with the amplification of Allure of the Seas, we’re excited to bring three new amplifications to our fleet in 2026.
"Royal Caribbean continues to raise the bar on delivering the best of every vacation with revolutionary ships and top-rated exclusive destinations.”
He added: “The Royal Amplified program gives our guests the best of Royal Caribbean with new-to-class culinary options and experiences, entertainment and thrilling adventures, paired with the hospitality and service Royal Caribbean is known for.”
