Royal Beach Club Lelepa will feature on every departure from Sydney and Brisbane from October 2027 to April 2028. The South Pacific programme will include an expanded mix of short breaks and longer sailings.
Lelepa, in Vanuatu, will offer two beaches, including an adults-only area, alongside snorkelling, kayaking and nature trails. Food and drink will be included across 10 venues.
Plans to open a beach club on an island in Vanuatu have been in the pipeline since 2019. The country's prime minister at the time, Charlot Salwai, and Royal Caribbean International president and chief executive Michael Bayley announced the project in October of that year.
They said the project would showcase the natural ecological beauty and diverse culture of Vanuatu and provide employment and education opportunities for the island’s community.
The launch forms part of Royal Caribbean Group’s wider push into land-based experiences. The company is expanding its Royal Beach Club portfolio globally, having previously announced plans for Royal Beach Club Santorini aimed at easing overcrowding on the island.
Gavin Smith, Royal's vice-president and managing director for Australia and New Zealand, said the Lelepa development would build on strong demand for South Pacific itineraries.
"We know Australian families love holidaying in the South Pacific, and Lelepa takes that to an entirely new level with an experience they won't find anywhere else in the world," he said.
