The CTO's Caribbean Showcase event, now in its sixth year, brings suppliers from the region to meet with tour operator buyers from the UK market. The fruits of this collaboration will become apparent with all the exciting new products that travel agents will be able to sell to clients looking to immerse themselves in the Caribbean. Here's a taster of what's to come:
1. Open clients' eyes to Montserrat's newly accessible volcano vantage point
Montserrat has reopened St George’s Hill, one of the island’s most dramatic viewpoints, which has been closed to the public for more than three decades. The site offers spectacular views across the Soufriere Hills volcano and the buried remains of Plymouth, which was permanently abandoned in 1997. The panorama extends from Montserrat’s rugged southern landscape to the lush greenery of the Centre Hills of the North. Access must be arranged through the Disaster Management Coordination Agency, using a local certified guide. The site complements Montserrat’s existing volcanic and heritage tourism, which includes Buried City / Plymouth Tours. Flights connect to Montserrat via Antigua and St Maarten.

2. Mix and match islands in the Bahamas
The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism is set to promote more island hopping itineraries as a wave of ultra-luxury resort developments transforms the destination over the coming year. Improved inter-island connectivity will also help agents easily design multi-stop Bahamian holidays that combine lively Nassau stays with more relaxed Out Island escapes.
Montage Cay, a 48-suite private island sanctuary, will open in the Abacos later this year. Then, in 2027, Banyan Tree Bimini Resort & Residences will introduce the archipelago's first dedicated overwater bungalow suites alongside a signature wellness spa and beach club, and there will also be a new luxury wellness retreat, Amancaya, in Exuma.
To help sell the destination, agents can take advantage of online training, digital resources and downloads at bahamas.com/travel-agents.
With My Booking Rewards, agents can enjoy a range of benefits, incentives and rewards for booking travel to the Bahamas at BahamasRewards.co.uk.
3. Pitch St Kitts as a future cruise-and-stay option
St Kitts has broken ground on a new cruise terminal that will upgrade operations at Porte Zante in Basseterre. The destination has ambitions to become a premier cruise turnaround port in the Caribbean – P&O Cruises has already committed Iona and Arvia to sail Caribbean itineraries that start and end in St Kitts, commencing November 2027. Upon completion, the terminal will have state-of-the-art security screening and immigration systems designed to process guests seamlessly. St Kitts surpassed more than one million cruise visitors during the last season.

Grenada is building on its horticultural heritage with the launch of the Grenada Flower & Garden Festival, taking place from 8-15 November 2026. The festival will bring Grenada’s extraordinary flora, spices, gardens and agricultural heritage to life on the island. 8. Send clients flying with spirit around the Caribbean
InterCaribbean Airways has dedicated the newest addition to its fleet, the ‘Spirit of Turks and Caicos Islands’, continuing its tradition of naming aircraft after destinations on its network. The regional airline has connected the Turks and Caicos to the wider Caribbean for decades, linking Providenciales, South Caicos and Grand Turk to destinations across the region. The aircraft joins a growing family of flag-tail aircraft that includes the “Spirit of Grenada” and “Spirit of Barbados”.
