The year-round Heathrow-Halifax service will recommence on 30 April, followed by flights from Manchester and Edinburgh to Toronto on 30 May. Dublin-Vancouver will restart on 1 June, followed a day later by Dublin-Montreal.
"This is very exciting news for our customers especially now that Omicron is behind us, countries are reopening and border measures are being eased around the world for fully vaccinated travellers,” said Mark Galardo, Air Canada’s senior vice president, network planning and revenue management.
The relaunch of international routes comes as Air Canada expands in the North American market, with seven new routes scheduled for summer 2022 and 41 previously suspended routes resuming.
Flights are timed to optimise connectivity to Air Canada’s North American network, including 46 airports in the US.
Galardo added: “Air Canada’s recovery is well underway and gaining strength, and we are pleased to expand our international network across four continents as we respond to pent-up demand.
“As the leading carrier in Canada, we are committed to rebuild the travel and tourism industry.”
