It comes after the new US president signed an executive order barring immigrants and visitors from seven countries – Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, Libya and Yemen - from travelling to the US for 90 days.
Protests have erupted in airports across the US, including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Miami, Seattle, Washington and even a small protest in Anchorage, Alaska.
A number of companies have reacted with anger to the ban, including Airbnb’s chief executive Brian Chesky, who tweeted to urge people to stand with “those who are affected”.

He said Airbnb was “providing free housing to refugees and anyone not allowed in the US”, and said people should contact him if they were in “urgent need for housing”.

Chesky added: “Open doors brings all of US together. Closing doors further divides US. Let’s all find ways to connect people, not separate them.”
