The UK office of Air Fast Tickets has gone into administration, TTG has learned.
It comes after Iata terminated the company’s UK and Germany licence in August, preventing the OTA from selling flights in these countries.
It is understood that the UK office of AirFastTickets was shut down by administrators last week, following a hearing at the High Court, although the company is continuing to trade elsewhere.
When TTG tried to contact the UK arm of the Greece-based company throughout this week, the phones remained engaged.
The accounts for AirFastTickets Limited were due to be filed at Companies House on September 30 2014, however Companies House confirmed they were overdue.
It added that it would be “actively writing to this company to chase for overdue accounts”.
TTG approached AirFastTickets for comment on Monday. The company said it would be responding soon.
It comes after Iata confirmed in June that it had suspended the OTA from trading from its UK and German offices as well as in Greece, after it emerged that AirFastTickets owed a total of €45 million, with the amount at risk in the UK calculated at around €13.9 million.
The CAA also said it was in talks with the OTA.
At the time, AirFastTickets told TTG it remained hopeful it could still reach an agreement with Iata.
