Aurora Expeditions is planning a series of trade events this summer to "showcase how guests spend a typical day onboard".
The adventure cruise specialist is looking to incorporate "water-based activities and guided walks" during the sessions, which Craig Upshall, its UK and Europe sales director, said he believed would "help agents get an understanding of how their clients would spend time experiencing the incredible destinations that Aurora travels to".
Upshall said the line would reveal more details to its trade partners after Easter.
Meanwhile, Aurora is introducing two new cruises for its 2020/21 Arctic programme after they came top in a poll of clients.
It is adding the Iceland Circumnavigation and West Greenland Explorer itineraries in 2020 following a vote by nearly 1,000 clients.
Both 11-day voyages will take place on Aurora’s new ship, Greg Mortimer, which is due to launch in October 2019. The 104-metre ship is the line’s first purpose-built vessel and is named after Aurora’s co-founder.
Victoria Primrose, head of marketing and product, said: “We asked our adventurous and well-travelled customer base which destinations they want to visit next.
“Like the rest of the new 2020/21 programme, the West Greenland Explorer and Iceland Circumnavigation expeditions have been carefully curated to give passengers the opportunity to explore rugged and far-flung destinations.”
“On these expeditions, passengers will have life-changing interactions and encounter dramatic landscapes; discovering some of the world’s largest calving glaciers, beautiful ice fjords, black sand beaches, stunning waterfalls and glacial lagoons, among other highlights.”
Iceland Circumnavigation is a round-trip from Reykjavik departing on June 2, 2020, with the ship visiting some of the destination’s most remote bays and fjords, as well as viewing the birdlife and reindeers of Vatnajokull National Park.
West Greenland Explorer is also a round-trip itinerary departing from the Greenland capital of Nuuk on May 18, 2020, and includes visits to Ilulissat Icefjord as well as Zodiac cruises along the coastline.
Aurora Expeditions is offering a discount of up to 25% for both of the new itineraries chosen by clients as part of an early-booking offer available for bookings of all voyages made by March 31.
