Chameleon Worldwide Travel has ceased trading with immediate effect.
The tailor-made holiday experts, based in Alresford in Hampshire, traded under the names Adventure Worldwide, Chameleon Worldwide, Families Worldwide, Schools Worldwide and Walks Worldwide.
The CAA said on its website that for customers overseas on a trip purchased directly with Chameleon Worldwide Travel with a scheduled flight, the flight remains valid for the return to the UK.
Passengers are advised to check with the airline as per their existing flight ticket.
The CAA is speaking to the accommodation providers in order to guarantee no changes to the accommodation portion of the trip for Chameleon Worldwide Travel customers currently overseas.
It is possible that customers may be required to pay again for accommodation, or other elements purchased as part of the Atol protected trip.
For those already booked on a package with Chameleon Worldwide Travel who have been issued with an Atol certificate and confirmation which states ’package sale’, and who hold scheduled tickets, the flights may be valid.
Passengers are advised to check with the airline.
The CAA advises customers still wishing to travel should confirm all the elements of their booking with the relevant supplier and agree payment for these in advance of travel.
Agents for Chameleon Worldwide Travel are advised not to refund customers with any monies they are currently holding.
Travel agents will be individually contacted by the CAA with specific instructions for these bookings.
Richard Lewis and Nigel Morrison have been appointed joint administrators.
