Coral Expeditions will deliver its new vessel, Coral Geographer, in December 2020, commercial director of sales, marketing and partnerships Jeff Gillies has announced.
The 120-passenger vessel’s first sailing will take place in January 2021 over 25 nights from Singapore to the Seychelles.
The Australian cruise company is expanding into the UK with the aim of finding “preferred agent partners” to help consolidate their reach.
“We are looking to find agents who understand expedition cruising. We have three agents joining us in The Kimberley in September and are planning to bring agents to Tasmania in the future, with other familiarisation trips on the cards,” Gillies said.
Gillies also confirmed the line has “budgeted for a new reservations agent in the UK to join between January 2020 and the first two quarters of next year.”
This new member of the sales team would join existing UK market manager Amy Sharpe who has spearheaded its UK sales office since May.
“We know that the UK market and trade partners can provide a great synergy with us and that we can work well together in the future,” said Gillies.
