A Cypriot hotel group has donated €30,000 to help the country’s health service battle Covid-19.
Constantinou Bros Hotels pledged the funds to the Cyprus Ministry of Health to purchase protective equipment, such as uniforms, masks and gloves, for the doctors and nursing staff at the Paphos General Hospital.
Constantinou Bros Hotels’ executive president Andreas Constantinou said it was the company’s way “of saying a big thank you to all the doctors and nursing staff who are fighting Covid-19”.
In a message on its website, the hotel group added: “During these difficult times, it is our way of saying a big thank you to all the doctors and nursing staff fighting covid-19 and our contribution towards beating this pandemic.
“Thank you for your loyalty to our hotels, please look after yourselves and your loved ones - we look forward to welcoming you back as soon as possible.”
