The online event taking place from 9-11 November between 7am and 10pm every day gives registered attendees the chance to schedule appointments and meet with Canadian trade partners.
Rupert Peters, regional managing director Europe and India for Destination Canada, said: “We are excited to be bringing the Canadian industry to this first-ever Virtual World Travel Market.”
“With international tourism arrivals having stalled in 2020 we are keen to showcase Canada with glowing hearts to our tour operator colleagues who have borne such difficult trading conditions,” he added.
Destination Canada plans to use WTM Virtual to showcase how the country’s tourism infrastructure has adapted to meet the new health and safety expectations created by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We can work with tour operators to reassure holidaymakers that when the borders reopen, we will be ready to welcome them with ‘glowing hearts’,” said Peters.
