Disney Cruise Line’s new ship, Disney Wish, has been delayed, while the line has extended its operational pause "until at least 6 December".
Wish had been due to be delivered in January 2022. However, deputy chief financial officer Christine McCarthy this week confirmed delivery had been pushed back.
McCarthy said the delay was due to the impact of Covid-19 on shipbuilding at Meyer Werft. No new date has been set for delivery of Disney Wish.
Meanwhile, Disney Cruise Line has cancelled all sailings onboard Disney Fantasy due to depart up to and including 6 December.
Those onboard Disney Dream and Disney Wonder are cancelled up to and including 11 December, and Disney Magic to 12 December.
