Disney has appointed a UK vice-president for marketing and sales to replace Peter Welch, who held the position for nearly 30 years.
Angelica Costantini is taking over the role at Disney Destinations International (DDI) in the UK as of 2 January next year.
She will be responsible for Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line across Europe, the Middle East and Africa; Disneyland Paris for the UK and Irish markets; and the Walt Disney Travel Company International.
“We take this opportunity to thank Peter Welch who is retiring after 28 years with the company,” said a Disney spokeswoman.
Welch announced he would “hang up his black ears” in August this year and will now “keep busy” on his boutique hotel venture Nos Da Hotel in Sri Lanka.
