Coffey’s resignation was announced on Monday (February 11) by managing director Brian Young.
A search is under way for her replacement.
She joined the business in October 2017 following more than 14 years with Virgin Atlantic.
“We thank Rachel for her valuable input to the business since she joined in 2017 and we wish her the very best going forward,” said Young.
Of the search for her replacement, Young said the operator was after someone to “drive the company’s ambitious growth strategy”.
“G Adventures is one of the most exciting travel brands in the market, with purpose at the forefront; the director of sales role presents an incredible opportunity for the right person,” Young added.
“We have a brilliant and dynamic sales team, which is continuing to grow, led by our national sales manager Stu Darnley, who will continue to drive the expansion of our sales strategy with our agent partners across the UK.”
