Strikes by workers employed at Gatwick by ICTS will bookend the getaway, with action planned for 22-26 August and 29 August to 2 September.
The Unite union, which represents ICTS workers at Gatwick, said all flights would face disruption, and warned the action would intensify if the dispute wasn’t resolved.
Update: Baggage screeners call off pre-bank holiday strike action
Unite claims baggage screeners employed by ICTS at Gatwick are among the lowest paid workers at the airport earning "just above minimum wage".
Gatwick has played down the prospect of major disruption. TTG has also approached ICTS for comment.
“ICTS has more than enough money to offer these workers a fair pay rise," said Unite general secretary Sharon Graham. "ICTS’s Gatwick workers will receive Unite’s complete backing for as long as it takes during their strikes for fair pay."
Regional officer Ben Davis added ICTS would be "entirely responsible" for any disruption caused to passengers departing Gatwick during the proposed action.
"Despite performing a critical role, these workers are among the lowest paid at the airport," said Davis. "Gatwick should be stepping in and pressuring ICTS to put an improved offer forward."
A Gatwick spokesperson said: "We are working with our suppliers to avoid any impacts and we expect to operate a normal summer holiday flight schedule for our airlines and passengers on these dates. Of course, we hope ICTS and their union can reach a resolution before then."
