Global Travel Collection’s roster of travel advisors has grown by nearly 30% in recent months, parent Internova Travel Group has revealed, with the group – formerly known as Travel Leaders – keen to maintain this momentum into the spring.
Internova’s confidence comes after last month rebranding its premium travel division as GTC, comprising sub-brands Protravel International, Tzell Travel Group, and Colletts Travel, for which it said on Monday (23 November) it had "ambitious expansion plans".
Advisors will continue to operate under one of GTC’s brands, and are also free to operate under their own brand.
GTC managing director Jason Oshiokpekhai said the uncertainty caused by the Covid crisis had resulted in more travellers seeking the experience of seasoned travel advisors with the "knowledge and resources" to make "safe and seamless" travel plans.
"With Global Travel Collection, we not only provide reassurance to travellers, but also to travel advisors who may be looking to become independent during this time," he said.
"We make sure that irrespective of what brand an advisor chooses to operate under, each has the right product, support and advice available to allow them to focus on providing unrivalled service to their clients."
Oshiokpekhai added: "As well as enjoying the commercial benefits that come with being part of a global travel group, our advisors have access to a full support team right here in the UK to help them flourish."
GTC said it had welcomed a number of "highly experienced" advisors in recent months, totalling growth of 28%; over the next six months, the group said it was planning for expansion at a "similar rate", and was looking out for advisors with experience in the luxury leisure, corporate and entertainment travel sectors.
Advisors interested in learning more about joining GTC should email senior manager Andy Hampshaw.
