To celebrate August’s Olympic Games in Rio, the operator has revived its weekly Go for Gold promotion, offering travel consultants a chance to win up to £500 in Farebank Rewards.
During the competition, agents aim to secure gold, silver and bronze prizes worth £500, £300 and £200 in reward points.
Each week the operator will feature a range of destination deals via its online GMag alerts. Agents then email Gold Medal stating the destination marked with the “gold holiday” emblem.
For every destination they identify, agents earn “medals” and a place on the leader board, which will be updated each week.
Extra medals can be won during the campaign, which runs throughout July and August, if agents correctly answer quiz questions sent out by the operator.
The three agents with the most medals at the end receive gold, silver or bronze prizes.
Weekly prizes of £50 in Farebank Rewards will be handed out during the promotion and chosen randomly from all correct entries that week.
Gordon McCreadie, director of sales and marketing B2B dnata UK, said the campaign was reintroduced after proving “incredibly successful” during the London Olympics.
“The great thing about it is that it really introduces a fun competitive element among those joining in with the incentive,” he said.
“Agents can track their place on our leader board each week to see how they are doing in the ultimate race to the big podium prizes.
We’ll have lots of trade winners to hopefully go along with all the medals Team GB pick up in Rio.”
