Jet2.com is introducing a new summer route to the Austrian city of Innsbruck.
The airline has nearly 20,000 extra seats between Birmingham and Manchester airports to the Tyrolean capital between May and September next year.
This comes after the company announced its first-ever programme of ski services to the city this December.
“Innsbruck is the perfect fit for the growing number of people who are looking for adventure, scenery and wellness on their holidays,” said Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.
“Located in the heart of the Austrian Alps, holidaymakers can choose from a whole host of activities from mountain biking and paragliding through to hiking, while being able to enjoy the unique blend of modern and old in Innsbruck itself.”
Innsbruck is the fifth largest city in Austria, with miles of mountain ranges and alpine meadows on the doorstep.
The new Jet2 flights are twice weekly from Manchester on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 23 May through to 19 September, and weekly from Birmingham on Wednesdays from 3 June to 16 September.
