Jet2.com has cancelled the rest of its summer flights to mainland Spain due to “ongoing uncertainty” caused by the pandemic and the destination having its travel corridor removed.
The airline’s decision affects flights to Alicante, Malaga and Barcelona up to the end of October 2020.
“We are obviously very disappointed to be making this announcement, as we know how much our customers look forward to their well-deserved holidays in these fantastic destinations,” said a Jet2 spokesperson.
“Where customers are affected by any programme changes, we have been repeatedly recognised by independent travel agents for how we have handled this, and we will be automatically cancelling affected trade bookings with a full refund.”
The airline and tour operator is also suspending flights to Croatia for the rest of the summer 2020 season for similar reasons – the final outbound flights to Dubrovnik and Split for this summer will operate on Sunday (6 September).
