Jet2.com boss Steve Heapy says the latest OAG “on-time performance” figures demonstrate “conclusively” the airline is the UK’s most punctual.
According to the figures, Jet2.com topped the flight data analyst’s time performance rankings for 13 of the past 14 months, despite major additions to its schedule.
The airline was ranked highest for on-time performance during the summer months, achieving 82.4% in May, 82.6% in June and 85.4% in July.
On-time performance is the percentage of arrivals within 15 minutes of a flight’s scheduled arrival time, and the measure includes cancellations.
During the summer peak season, Jet2.com operated more than 350 flights a day from its nine UK bases.
Steve Heapy, Jet2.com chief executive, said: “OAG data is based on millions of flight records, so this is conclusive proof that Jet2.com is the most punctual airline in the UK.
“Customers want to get away for their well-deserved holidays on time, and our teams work tirelessly to make sure that happens day in day out.
“Alongside delivering our award-winning customer service and family friendly flight times, we’re very proud to be the most punctual UK airline.”
