Jet2holidays had laid claim to being the UK’s largest tour operator serving Madeira.
The company says it operate 12 weekly flights to the Portuguese island, making more than 400,000 seats available over the calendar year.
Jet2.com has, for 2018, added flights from Belfast and increased capacity from Manchester and Stansted, with up to three services a week from each.
Some 135,000 seats are on sale for summer 2018, rising to 160,000 for summer 2019.
It will also operate an expanded winter 18/19 programme, making Madeira a year-round destination from the UK.
Capacity will increase 29% with up to 13 weekly flights departing from its nine UK bases between the end of October and March 2019.
