Archie and Florrie Gray were ready to board their flight to visit their dad – Richard Gray – in Manchester when they were greeted by Donna McHugh, head of revenue and sales for Loganair, at Inverness airport.
McHugh informed the twins their booking had marked a key milestone of the 150,000th passenger onboard Loganair’s Inverness-Manchester service since the airline launched the route under its own brand in 2017. Both siblings then received a free flight to mark the occasion.
Inverness airport general manager, Graeme Bell, said: "The Inverness-Manchester route has proved to be immensely popular with passengers, linking the Highland capital with one of the great cities of England.
"It illustrates that demand for regular flights from trusted airline operators has been very resilient post-pandemic. We are pleased that Loganair continues to deliver this service to an incredibly high standard."
Loganair operates ten flights per week between Inverness and Manchester. This includes a twice daily service Monday-Thursday and additional one-way services on Fridays and Sundays.
