The new event, for which TTG Media is trade media partner, was due to take place in London on 21 May. It will now be held on 5 February 2021 at the Royal Geographical Society.
Pru Goudie, ATN owner and organiser, said she hoped the rescheduled event would happen when "travel restrictions have been relaxed and things have started to normalise".
ATN is a one-day event focused on the growing adventure sector, connecting tour operators and travel agents with overseas suppliers, DMCs and tourist boards.
Goudie explained how the new date would “fit nicely” with the traditional contracting season for UK adventure tour operators and with budget allocations for destinations and tourist boards.
"Despite these desperate times I am still receiving enquiry from overseas parties as to when ATN will run which is encouraging as it demonstrates that people are beginning to look forward and that there is optimism out there in the market and still a healthy appetite for an event like this," she said.
"Many companies I speak with are already starting to write their business recovery plans and thinking about their business strategy for 2021.
"This will be the first B2B adventure travel dedicated event held in the UK in 2021 that includes a supplier/buyer marketplace and a much needed opportunity for the trade to be under one roof to debate industry issues, network and do business with potential trade partners."
Goudie added: "We will do all we can to help support the industry’s recovery between now and the 5 February 2021 and find other ways to bring the adventure travel community together, where possible. Watch out for upcoming ways to keep those who have booked, or are intending to book, in contact with each other as we head for February."
