Riches had returned to the FTI owned bedbank in 2015 as chief sales officer.
He had previously worked as global sales director at lowcostbeds.
Commenting on his departure, Riches said: “We have managed to grow the overall business both in profit and turnover for 2015/16, despite probably the most challenging trading conditions we have seen in the sector for some time.
“I have been discussing the best direction for the business for some time and felt that it is in the best interests for me to step down at this time.’
