Pegasus Airlines will extend its proposed new five-times weekly Manchester-Istanbul service to a weekly service, just three weeks after it launches.
The new route to Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen airport will get under way on 1 July. However, Pegasus will put on two additional flights a week from mid-July.
For the first three weeks, Pegasus will operate the route on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. It will add Thursday and Fridays services starting 21 July.
Outbound flights will depart Manchester at 12.40pm, arriving Istanbul at 6.50pm. Pegasus also operates an additional service on Mondays, via Dalaman, departing Manchester at 9.20am.
Direct return flights depart Istanbul at either 9.15am or 9.30am. Onward connections from Sabiha Gokcen include Bahrain, Beirut and Sharjah, as well as Turkish domestic flights.
Fares lead in from £79.99 one-way.
Pegasus also operators a four-times-daily Stansted-Istanbul service.
