The sales and marketing director had overall responsibility for UK and international sales, marketing and reservations as well as overseeing product development.
Mark Rodwell, managing director of Fred Olsen Cruise Lines thanked Philpot for his contribution to the company and added: “The brand has benefitted significantly from his insight and acumen over the years, and we wish him every success with his future plans.”
The cruise line has said that a replacement for the role will be sought in due course. Meanwhile, Neil Herbert will continue to head up sales and Justin Stanton will stay in charge of marketing.
